National VA Parkinson's Disease Network
The National VA PD Network is a nationwide hub and spoke model of care across the VA Healthcare System for veterans diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.PADRECCs: Designated VA Centers of Excellence, receive referrals across the VA System. Each serves a georgraphic regtion.
Regional Sites: Serve as a VISN resource for PD (and related disorders) specialty consultation and education, extend care to
Veterans who can not travel to a PADRECC.
Associated Sites:Specialty clinics for Veterans unable to travel to a PADRECC or RPMDC.
HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
- Veteran must be enrolled in the VA healthcare system to receive care. Access and manage your VA benefits & health care at https://www.va.gov
- Choose a PADRECC, PADRECC Associated Site or Regional Parkinson's Movement Disorder Center to consult.
- VA primary care provider or neurologist makes a referral to the PADRECC, Associated Site or Regional Parkinson's Movement Disorder Center using an inter-facility consult (IFC).
- Follow up with the PADRECC, Associated Site or Regional Center to schedule an appointment. (Please allow at least 72 hours after the IFC has been sent.)
